In this guide, you will learn how to reset your Master Password that gives you access to your Uniqkey account.
The Master Password works as the decryption key for your password vault. It is saved using zero-knowledge technology, meaning the customer support team cannot access your user-generated master password.
Instructions
1. Open Your Uniqkey App
- On your phone, locate and launch the Uniqkey 2.0 app.
- Tap on “Sign in”.
2. Initiate Password Reset
- Tap “Forgot your Master Password?”
- Enter the email associated with your Uniqkey account and press “Send request”.
Step 3: Wait for Administrator Approval
- Your reset request will be sent to your admin for approval.
- The admin will find your request in the Uniqkey Admin Portal, under the "Requests" section in the left menu.
Step 4: Receive and Use Verification Code
- Once your admin approves the reset request, you’ll receive an email with a verification code.
- If the Uniqkey app was closed, reopen it and proceed to the “Got the verification code?” screen.
- Enter the code you received in the email.
Step 5: Choose Your New Master Password
- Set your new Master Password.
- Ensure it is secure and something you can remember.
- Avoid using a password that you use for other accounts.
