A Trusted Browser session allows your logins to be saved directly in the browser, enabling you to log in without phone approval. You can configure session time limits and choose between automatic or manual renewal.
Note: This login method reduces security, so use with caution.
Instructions
Step 1. Open the Uniqkey Extension and Select ‘Trusted Browser’
Click the Uniqkey extension icon in your browser to open the Settings menu
Select the Trusted Browser option.
Step 2. Set the Time Limit
Choose how long passwords will remain stored in your browser by selecting a time limit.
*Enable Automatic Renewal for ‘Trust Browser’ Sessions
To renew Trusted Browser sessions automatically, toggle this setting to On. When the time period expires, Uniqkey will automatically start a new Trusted Browser session the next time you log in with phone approval.
*Set Manual Renewal for ‘Trust Browser’ Sessions
To renew manually, leave the setting toggled Off. When the session expires, you’ll need to reactivate Trusted Browser manually.
Step 3. Activate the Session
Once settings are configured, click ‘Send Request’ to activate the Trusted Browser session.
Step 4. Confirm in Your Uniqkey Mobile App
Open your Uniqkey mobile app and confirm the request to enable the Trusted Browser session.
Step 5. Receive Confirmation Notification
After approval, you’ll receive a notification in your browser extension and saved logins will be marked with a green outline.
You can easily enable or disable the Trusted Browser feature by clicking the option in the upper-left corner of the Uniqkey small-screen extension.
How to Revoke a Trusted Browser Session
You can easily revoke the session by turning it off in the menu bar on the left.
Alternatively, click the shield icon in the small-sized version of the extension to revoke the session.
