Follow these steps to smoothly transition to Uniqkey 2.0 for improved security and functionality.
Instructions
1) Open Migration Email
Step 1: Locate the Migration Email
Find the email from your admin requesting the transition to the new Uniqkey version.
Step 2: Follow the steps outlined in the email:
- Download the Uniqkey 2.0 mobile app
- Sign in with your previous credentials
- Download the Uniqkey 2.0 extension in your preferred browser
2) Signing in to the Uniqkey 2.0 Mobile App
Step 1: Open the App
- After downloading Uniqkey 2.0, open the app and tap 'Sign in'.
Step 2: Enter Your Old Credentials
- Use the credentials from your previous Uniqkey version to log in.
Step 3: Create a 6-Digit Login Code and Enable Biometrics
- Set up a 6-digit code for added security and activate biometric login if available.
Step 4: Complete the Setup
- Go through the initial information, then click 'Get started'.
Step 5: Pair with the Browser Extension
- Once logged in, use the QR scanner in the app to pair your mobile app with the browser extension.
3) Connecting to the Browser Extension
Step 1: Download the Extension
- Use the link in the activation email or download the Uniqkey 2.0 extension in your preferred browser (e.g., Chrome).
Step 2: Install the Extension
- Add the Uniqkey 2.0 extension to your browser.
Step 3: Open the Extension
- If the extension does not open automatically, click the puzzle piece icon in the upper right corner of your browser and select the Uniqkey icon.
Step 4: Pair with Mobile App
- Select 'Pair with mobile app' in the extension, then scan the QR code displayed using your Uniqkey 2.0 mobile app.
4) Replace the Old Extension with Uniqkey 2.0
Step 1: Access the Extension Menu
- Click the puzzle piece icon in the upper right corner of your browser.
Step 2: Remove the Old Extension
- Locate and remove the previous 'Uniqkey - Password Manager' extension from your browser.
Step 3: Pin the New Extension
- Pin the Uniqkey 2.0 extension for easy access.
