While we’re not introducing any new major features, we’re excited to share that our latest update brings a range of bug fixes and quality of life improvements, as well as several new, smaller features.
Note: You can find the mobile specific release notes in the bottom of this post, and on the Uniqkey profile in your app store.
What's New in 2.5.0
Restrictions on Mobile
Prior to this update, group restrictions didn’t apply to data access through the Uniqkey app.
This has finally changed.
With this update, all group restrictions will now also apply when employees open their mobile app and access their login or notes list.
Improved “Trust On Login”
When using ‘Trust on Login’ in our extension, users won’t need to request to use a trusted browser every day.
When activated, this feature will automatically request a trusted browser when an employee makes the first request after time expiration. This action is also logged in the audit log.
Autosave Work Logins
As an admin, you can now require all employees to save work logins in their company keychain. This ensures that all company-related logins are always stored securely and are under the control of your organization.
You can find and enable this feature in the Admin Portal security settings.
Improved Password Import
Importing passwords is now more user-friendly.
Our import process now handles duplicate checks on import and provides an easy way to find imports that might fail. Both of these features give employees a chance to import all logins correctly.
Loading Progress Bar for Mobile:
We’ve added a loading progress bar when logging into the mobile app, so you always know the status of your login process.
Verified Domain Deletion
Following this update, administrators now have the option to delete verified domains.
Manual Code for Onboarding Flow
We have now made it possible to use a manual code in the onboarding flow for those who aren’t able to scan a QR code (for whatever reason).
This also means that you can now onboard using a virtual phone.
Improved Audit Log Communication
We’ve updated how we communicate activity in the audit log, making it easier to understand the actions made within your organization.
Dashboard Security Widgets
To increase the actionable insights that Uniqkey offers you as an admin, we’ve upgraded the dashboard in the Admin Portal with new security widgets.
These will display data-based insights into things like percentage of users with low security score etc.
Biometric Prompt on Login
You now have the option to open a biometric prompt on login, adding an extra layer of security to your Uniqkey access. This is available in the bottom left of the mobile login screen.
Save Logins Directly to Group from Extension
We’ve added the ability for users to save a login directly into a group via the extension. This should make organizing your logins faster and more efficient.
And that was everything new in release 2.5.0.
We hope that these changes will make it easier for your team to manage passwords and access across your organization.
You’ll hear more from us once we’re ready with something new.
