The Uniqkey browser extension can be deployed easily to your end-users/devices through Intune (Microsoft Endpoint), or a similar platform.
This guide explains how to do it via Intune.
Note: Your company might already have policies in place for these browsers, or existing infrastructure that needs to be taken into consideration. Please refer to your IT administrator if you have questions about your specific setup.
The Uniqkey extension can be deployed to multiple browsers at the same time. How best to do this depends on your organization's existing setup.
1. Login to https://intune.microsoft.com
2. Go to Devices -> Manage devices -> Configuration.
3. Click Create and create a new policy with the following platform and profile type.
4. Give the new profile a name and click Next.
5. Click Add settings to open the Settings picker.
Note: The setting name and extension ID is different in Chrome and Edge. See below how to setup the policy depending on which browser you use.
6a. Deploying the Uniqkey extension to Chrome.
Find the Google Google Chrome Extensions category and click it.
Find the setting Configure the list of force-installed apps and extensions.
Note: Depending on your setup, you might want to deploy these settings to users, devices, or both. Please ask your IT administrator if you're unsure what suits your enviroment.
Enable the setting and enter the Chrome extension ID for Uniqkey: pfblclopmfndegcljgcjbhkpclhepeod
Note: This ID works for any Chromium-based browser (e.g Brave)
6b. Deploying the Uniqkey extension to Edge.
Find the category Microsoft Edge\Extensions and click it.
Find the setting Control which extensions are installed silently.
Note: Depending on your setup, you might want to deploy these settings to users, devices, or both. Please ask your IT administrator if you're unsure what suits your enviroment.
Enable the setting and enter the Edge extension ID for Uniqkey: pcghalgafnnidajakoacnnekgkaifionm
7. Click Next and add Scope tags if you use them - if not, simply click Next.
8. Assign the policy to your desired groups and click Next.
9. Review your policy and click Create.
